Hi, I am Sandringli!

⛏️ Greetings from Sandringli!

Listen up folks! I am Sandringli!

As my name suggests with the force of an anvil, I am mainly forged from hard sand, which has been tightly compressed by the pressure of the mountains and bound with cement mortar. I am a stone of stature and honor!

My clan and I are widespread on the surface of this world, and our origins stretch back through almost all ages of Earth’s history, like an unbroken mine. I myself wear proud beige armor, decorated with the fine, curved patterns of Liesegang’s rings. My siblings, however, boast many other colors: gray like an iron bar, red like glowing metal, brown, white, or even green.

I am unshakably stable, yet supple enough for the builder’s tools—and I always cut a fabulous figure! That is why I am the cornerstone of the strongest buildings, the most impressive walls, and the most beautiful facades. There are so many that even a dwarf cannot count them all. But just think of the Brandenburg Gate, the town hall in Hamburg, or the Frauenkirche in Dresden.

I am Sandringli—hard and reliable, a stone for the ages!
