“The Earth Dwarves are moving on—on a geological journey!”

Let’s be honest: the Earth is full of wonders!

And we Earth Dwarves want to discover them together. We are a community of Earth Dwarves who don’t see geology as a dry science, but as a fun adventure.

That’s why each of us earth dwarves has a geocacher at our side – together we are little explorers with big questions. We love to explore the earth in a playful way and make it easier for others to enter the world of EarthCaches.

Our pickaxes are shouldered, our PQs are loaded, our eyes are open for something special, and our joy grows with every new place we visit alone, in groups, or even better… with the caching community.

The big EarthCache anniversary in 2024 and the 6th International EarthCache Event with its preparations and the event on October 11, 2025, was a fantastic adventure for all of us!

In the dwarf council, we decided: That was just the beginning!

The Earth Dwarves are moving on—to new adventures, new encounters, and new stories in the landscape and in the rocks.

Join us on our journey! Many people have told us: “EarthCaches are too complicated, too scientific, too time-consuming…” That’s exactly why we’re here! We want to show that EarthCaches are not a “chore,” but exciting stories that lie right beneath our feet.

We’ll show you how much fun they can be!

We meet at special places: whether volcanic craters, glacier traces, sediments, fossils, or tectonic wonders. At our events, we want to discover, learn, and marvel at the language of the landscape—and make it easier for anyone who may still be unsure about EarthCaches to get started.

And as always, no one has to be a geologist to participate. Curiosity is enough!

But who are we now? Take a look at the individual dwarves and their descriptions.
